Speedy J presents STOOR Live at Paradiso, Amsterdam

On March 21, the iconic Paradiso in Amsterdam will host the return of STOOR Live, a series known for its fully improvised hardware jams. Spearheaded by electronic music innovator Speedy J, this event will feature a lineup of artists committed to expanding the realms of sound and visuals.

Joining Speedy J is .VRIL, known for his previous collaborations, including a standout performance at Kappa FuturFestival in Torino and alongside Rødhåd at Paradiso. This time, he teams up with Wata Igarashi, an influential Japanese composer and sound designer, recognized for his recent project, Phantom Circuits. Also on the bill is Erika, a pivotal figure in Detroit techno since the '90s, celebrated for her deep analog synth work and her role in the duo Ectomorph. Rounding out the ensemble is Function, a founding member of the renowned Sandwell District collective, whose contributions have been integral to the techno landscape.

The performance will be accentuated by Karl Klomp’s striking stage design, enhancing Paradiso’s unique atmosphere and reflecting the raw energy of the STOOR ethos. Amsterdam's vibrant electronic scene will undoubtedly provide a fitting backdrop for this collaborative exploration of sound.
