What is e-Lounge?

e-Lounge : a tech house party emerges... For the first edition of e-Lounge we bring Justin V., founder of e-Lounge and booking coordinator of Eavesdrop bar in Greenpoint. Justin's style is heavily based around 2000's minimal house and techno, with emphasis on bouncy electric beats. Digging deep into the rich textures of 90s and early 2000s electronic music, his signature sound blends the hypnotic pulses of tech house with the spacious atmospheres of ambient and dub, creating sets that are both rhythmically driving and emotionally immersive. Justin doesn't shy away from throwing in a weird leftfield pop track either to break up the bass throughout the night. As well, we bring on icon Plushie. Plushie is a Brooklyn-based DJ whose sets reflect a deep and ever-evolving curiosity about music—threading together hypnotic, off-kilter rhythms, low-end beat science, heart-on-sleeve deep cuts, soft-footed house, and shadowy industrial textures. Her wide-ranging selections emerge from a personal digging practice that favors open-ended exploration over mastery—driven by a sense that there’s always more out there to discover. The result is a sound that’s unpredictable but always coherent, inviting listeners into unfamiliar terrain that somehow feels just right. Outside the booth, she’s the co-founder of A–Z Radio, a mix series and digital archive exploring the intersections of music, design, writing, and visual art.
