Tomorrowland Brasil 2027 Countdown Begins with “Portal of Tomorrow” Event

Tomorrowland Brasil 2027 officially kicked off its countdown with a special event in São Paulo last week. The Belgian festival brand brought the People of Tomorrow together at Parque Villa-Lobos on May 1 for ‘Portal of Tomorrow by Bybit,’ an immersive audiovisual experience marking exactly one year until the festival’s return. Tomorrowland Brasil 2027 is set to take place from April 30 to May 2, 2027, at Parque Maeda in Itu, São Paulo. The Portal event wasn’t designed as a mini-festival but rather as a deliberate milestone to keep Tomorrowland active in Brazil’s cultural calendar during a year without a local edition. A Return to Origins The choice of Parque Villa-Lobos carried significant symbolism. On July 20, 2014, Tomorrowland broadcast live from Belgium at that same location, when David Guetta announced to the Brazilian audience that the first edition of Tomorrowland Brasil would arrive in 2015. More than a decade later, returning to Parque Villa-Lobos to launch the countdown to 2027 served as a declaration of continuity. All-Brazilian Lineup The Portal event featured a lineup composed entirely of Brazilian artists across three back-to-back sets. Jackson B2B Unfazed opened the afternoon, followed by Camila Jun B2B Malive. Alok closed out the event with a headline performance accompanied by a drone show that lit up São Paulo’s skies. Alok’s role as Tomorrowland’s ambassador has made him a constant presence in the festival’s global calendar, from the Belgium editions to Tomorrowland Winter and his summer residency in Ibiza. In 2023, his trajectory was documented in ‘We Are Tomorrow,’ a film coproduced with Amazon Music that received the Webby Award in the Video: Events & Live Streams category. The Portal of Tomorrow event also marked the opening of pre-registration for Tomorrowland Brasil 2027, with the full ticket sale schedule now announced. This follows the recent opening of the Tomorrowland Foundation Music & Arts School in South Africa, showing the brand’s continued global expansion beyond festival events. Tomorrowland Brasil has established itself as one of South America’s premier electronic music festivals since its 2015 debut. The 2027 edition will mark the festival’s return to Parque Maeda after previous successful runs at the venue.
