Tinlicker Unveils New Single ‘Release’ Ahead of Album (Out Feb 27)

Dutch electronic act Tinlicker has just released their new single ‘Release,’ part of the launch of their fourth studio album, Dreams of the Machine, due on February 27. The track arrives as the first official preview from the full project and reflects the group’s ongoing evolution. Tinlicker began in 2012 in Utrecht, Netherlands, initially as a duo comprised of producers Jordi van Achthoven and Micha Heyboer. Over more than a decade, they’ve built a reputation for emotionally rich, melodic electronic music that straddles progressive house, deep house, and indietronica, earning a large global audience and significant streaming success. In 2025 the project expanded with the addition of Hero Baldwin as a full-time member, shifting Tinlicker from a duo into a trio. Baldwin, a London-based singer-producer, had collaborated with Jordi and Micha on several releases and live performances for years before being welcomed into the group as a permanent member. This move reflects not just a personnel change but a broader chapter in Tinlicker’s creative identity. The new single ‘Release,’ out January 23, combines rippling melodic arpeggios with reverb-heavy bass and an energetic, break-driven beat.
