Let’s celebrate the artists who continue to create magic! Check out this month’s SoundCloud playlist Read Past Disco and Funk Charts Here Jessie Ware – Automatic [EMI] Jessie Ware‘s new album Superbloom will finally be released on April 17th, and the sensual final teaser track is “Automatic”, a slow Disco burner that will more than set the mood for you and that special someone! The track is full of lush strings and Ware’s signature blend of sultry, breathy vocals, taking you on a journey to a beautiful place. Ursula 1000 – Disco Aperitivo feat. Sarah Maison [Insect Queen Music] Ursula 1000 has been pleasing our ears with his unique brand of music since 1998, exploring genres ranging from Disco, Funk, and Bossa Nova to Techno and everything in between! “Disco Aperitivo” is a pure nod to Italo Disco with Sarah Maison providing the seductive vocals that you may recognize from Anoraak’s “Gang”. Like most of Ursula 1000’s music, this track will take you to a better place and time! Peter Matson & JKriv – Facile feat. Olivya [Favorite Recordings] Peter Matson and JKriv have a long history of recording together, so the easy feeling of their Facile EP is no surprise. The title track, “Facile,” features the stellar vocals of Olivya and the live instrumentation of both artists. The Disco flows freely from here, and the analog approach is always appreciated! Rikky Disco – Feel You on the Dancefloor (Monsieur Van Pratt Remix) [Stockholm Disco Sounds] Rikky Disco are now considered royalty in the Disco scene, and for good reason! Their original tracks are always hot and dancefloor-ready, and the hottest producers on the scene want to remix them! Monsieur Van Pratt is a seasoned veteran of the scene and adds his signature Disco gloss to “Feel You on the Dancefloor”. Fanacy’s cooing vocals are next level on this track, so any version of this track is a surefire winner! D.C. LaRue – I`ll Still Be Here For You (Mannix 12 Inch Disco Remix) [Dafia Records] When D.C. LaRue‘s Ca-The-Drals LP dropped in 1976, I’m sure nowhere in his mind would there be producers remixing songs from it 50 years later! Cathedrals Transformation arrived this March with amazing remixes from The Reflex, Unorthodox, and Mannix. It’s Mannix’s “I’ll Still Be Here For You” Disco remix that especially caught my attention due to its light touch and modern mastery of what Disco sounds like on a modern dancefloor. Do yourself a favor and grab this EP now! A-P Connection – The Right Time (feat. Alex Lewis) (Extended Mix) [A-P Connection] A-P Connection wants to take you back in time, and this time machine will take you back to the glory days of early 80’s Disco/Boogie. The soulful vocals of Alex Lewis will ease you into the groove, and the music will do the rest! This track has a warmth that is inviting and comforting; the strings mixed with the guitar riffs of Marlon McClain (Pleasure) and Horn House complete the sound. Kraak & Smaak – Real Love (Harvey Sutherland Remix) [Boogie Angst] Get ready to get your groove on because Harvey Sutherland has stripped down Kraak & Smaak‘s “Real Love” to its core and found a layer of cosmic funk that is undeniable! This remix has a daytime Nu-Disco vibe, but would be just as welcome late at night, when the mood is just right! Ben Banjo Field – 54 On The Floor [See-Saw] Ben Banjo Field is one of the Disco scene’s most prolific producers, and he makes it consistently difficult to choose what tracks to cover! “54 On The Floor” is a love letter to the legendary club and would have found a home on those hallowed decks. Utilizing press coverage of the club intermixed with jammy guitars, chunky bass, strings, and killer synths, the result is that you are going to dance! Da Lukas – Rhythm Heritage [Fulltime] Da Lukas is dipping his toes into Afro rhythm sounds on his Rhythm Heritage EP. The title track “Rhythm Heritage” does not box itself into one genre; it takes the best of the Afro influence and blends it into the Disco that we know Da Lukas for so well! The entire EP is a fantastic listen, so check it out now! Yan Valer – Told You So [Duchesse] Malta’s Yan Valer started his career as a radio DJ, garnering him an appreciation for multiple genres from House to Tech to Disco and everything in between. Now London-based, this DJ has moved to the production side and has given us “Told You So,” a Latin-infused Disco/House reason to get your hips moving! Check this one out on the Duchesse label. Ladies On Mars & Daddy Plays Disco – Groove It Up [Feverball] Rome’s DJ/producer duo Daddy Plays Disco has teamed up with Ladies On Mars for their latest release, “Groove It Up”, and boy, is it a funky affair! There are nods to late 70s Disco mixed with those early 80s grooves that we have come to know Ladies On Mars for. Together, you are going to groove it up and shake it down! Birdee – Do U Feel [Ple
