As Miami Music Week gets started, we managed to get a familiar, yet still unexpected, surprise. It all started with Ultra posting to Instagram with a vague Swedish House Mafia teaser. Swedish House Mafia hasn’t played Ultra since 2023, which is the most Ultra editions they’ve skipped since the breakup in 2013 (their next set was 2018). The Sebastian Ingrosso b2b Steve Angello closing set on Saturday is going to be a Swedish House Mafia takeover, framed as a festival within a festival. This one-night-only event brings together a carefully curated lineup of friends that pays homage to the culture and musical identity that has defined SHM over 2 decades. The Swedes will bring along Afrojack, Boys Noize, Armand van Helden, Kelly Lee Owens, and MPH.
