Denver-based melodic bass producer Said The Sky just released the deluxe edition of his album Icarus & I on March 20th through Seeking Blue. This expanded release builds on the original Icarus & I project, which showcased Said The Sky’s signature blend of melodic electronic elements with bass-driven production. The deluxe version adds new material to the collection, further exploring the thematic concepts that defined the initial release. Said The Sky, whose real name is Trevor Christensen, has established himself as a key figure in the melodic bass scene over the past several years. His approach combines emotional chord progressions with heavier electronic elements, creating tracks that work equally well in festival settings and headphone listening sessions. The Icarus & I project takes its name from the Greek mythology figure who flew too close to the sun, providing a conceptual framework that runs throughout the album’s narrative structure. This thematic approach has become increasingly common in Said The Sky’s work as he’s moved toward more cohesive album projects. Seeking Blue, the label handling the release, has been building a roster focused on melodic electronic music that bridges multiple subgenres.
