In the ever-evolving landscape of global techno, few artists command the dancefloor with as much precision and raw industrial grit as Kauffman. Known for a signature sound that bridges the gap between deep, hypnotic atmospheres and relentless percussion, the producer and DJ has become a staple for those who seek more than just a beat, but a sonic journey. We sat down with the visionary behind the decks to discuss her favorite tracks on the Drumcode A-Sides series over the years. Adam Beyer – Be Quiet (A-Sides) This is such a rolling banger and I love the sound design. Patrick Siech – Dimmer City (A-Sides) Trippy as hell. I think I heard it first at the infamous Moloch-Club in Hamburg and it reminds me of long and dirty nights. Jel Ford – Grand Union (A-Sides Volume II Part 2) The number one of this compilation of 2014 had a real renaissance in my playlists one festival summer ago. Very special groove that always marks a highlight within the mix. Egbert, Secret Cinema – Maximaal (A-Sides Volume 5) This track stands out. Instisting, in your face, bouncy and a real weapon. I was playing way more tech housy back then but I had to save this one for later I remember. And this track is also a reason why I was extra excited when Egbert took over Turmbühne from me at Fusion Festival 2021. Roberto Capuano, Luigi Madonna – Limitless (A-Sides Volume 6) Sexy. Bart Skils – West of the Moon (A-Sides Volume 7) Not only one of my favorite A-Side tracks but in my Top 10 of all DC tracks. Secret Cinema, Reinier Zonneveld – Pain Thing (A-Sides Volume 7) Another highlight of this very strong compilation in my opinion 🙂 I like the bass sound and the deep housy and trippy soundscape. Marco Faraone – Renemind (A-Sides Volume 12) Nasty track. Delivers pure energy moments on the dance floor.
