High Winds Temporarily Shut Down Multiple EDC Las Vegas Stages on Final Night

Several stages at EDC Las Vegas temporarily shut down on Sunday night after strong winds moved through the Las Vegas area. The weather disruption affected the festival’s final night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. According to reports, Circuit Grounds, BassPod, and Quantum Valley were all paused as a safety precaution. In addition, carnival rides across the festival were temporarily closed. However, the rest of EDC remained open while conditions were monitored. Strong winds forced temporary stage shutdowns during the final night of EDC Las Vegas Earlier in the day, the National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for the Las Vegas Valley. Forecasters warned that a strong cold front would move through the region Sunday evening and bring dangerous wind gusts. In 2025, organizers closed multiple stages, including Bionic Jungle, because of severe conditions. In 2019, high winds forced the shutdown of Kinetic Field and canceled several performances. Similar weather also disrupted the festival in 2012, when organizers ended parts of the event early.
