Prydaholics, rejoice! After more than a couple of years of anticipation, progressive house legend Eric Prydz has finally broken the deadlock! After numerous unreleased IDs dropped over the last few years, Prydz’s label, Pryda, might finally see “something coming up“. Just when his fans were on the verge of surrendering hopes of a PR(Y)DA 20 album, the Swedish dance music titan has dropped a bombshell! There was always hope that it might happen someday, if not ever. And it is finally happening! PR(Y)DA – The Overview Unless you are living under a rock, you might be aware that Pryda is the deeper melodic label of Eric Prydz that has been churning out popular releases for more than the last two decades. The landmark 2012 album titled Eric Prydz presents Pryda features some of the most iconic deep house tracks the universe has witnessed. The album has also been majorly responsible for cementing Prydz’s legacy in the underground space. It also resulted in an imminent shift from the commercial progressive house genre he was mostly associated with earlier. The label has also celebrated landmarks of 10 & 15 years through the PR(Y)DA 10 and PR(Y)DA 15 albums that had released through multiple instalments, eventually culminating into a full album. Prydz is also never shy of characterizing most of his unreleased IDs around the musical style of the Pryda quotient. Consequently, any sort of tease/announcement associated with label automatically generates the buzz, given its vast catalogue of unreleased stuff that is lying in the vault. The Announcement Prydz had taken up on X (erstwhile Twitter) to admit ‘something coming up’ around the label after more than 2 years. The last releases on the label date back to 2023 with the dual release of ‘The Return’ & ‘Of Me’. The curiosity around what might be the ‘something coming up’ is justified, keeping in mind the fact that the possibilities might not just be limited to an original release.
