De La Groove Releases New Compilation “PANORAMA”, Provides Essential Tips for Running a Record Label

De La Groove’s “PANORAMA” compilation has arrived, and it’s wonderful. As we’d expect from the French label, it’s a carefully assembled reflection of where house music stands right now and where it might be headed next. Featuring 13 tracks from a blend of established artists and rising voices, the release moves fluidly through deep grooves, atmospheric passages, and high-energy club rhythms. Funk, jazzy house, garage, and deeper strains all sit comfortably side by side, creating a listening experience that feels broad yet focused. More than anything, “PANORAMA” captures the energy of Paris’s young, forward-looking electronic community, placing it in conversation with wider global currents. It means having a clear idea of the tone we want to give the label, yet staying receptive to new directions and deviations from what we initially imagined. The goal is not to reproduce what we already know, but at the same time, our inspirations strongly shape us. We need to weave these elements together skillfully in order to make the right choices#2: Working with creative profiles at every level means recognizing that creating is putting a part of oneself into a work. Receiving critical feedback on that work can feel like receiving criticism on a part of oneself. To move a label’s projects forward, it’s essential to manage creative profiles—something that is humanly delicate, but also precisely what gives these activities their charm. #3: It’s mandatory to be patient while running a label, you can be tempted to follow the hype, but the thing is to trust your guts and to remain dedicated to what you truly love since day one. Being patient is a good thing because your reward at the end of the day is very satisfying #4: Being able to release your mind sometimes is very important. Mental health is an important point to care about, and you can carry it by doing extra musical activities such as sport, reading etc… your work for your label will be nourished by these other things.
