Daxson Shares Update After Removal Of Brain Tumor That Left Him Partially Deaf

On Tuesday this week, UK Trance artist Daxson revealed on social media that he underwent a major brain surgery on January 13th to remove a tumor that was growing on his brain stem. Although surgery was a success, the artist explains that the recovery process will be long and arduous. Nonetheless, he committed himself to his career and his music. This dedication took him to some of the biggest stages in the world. The tumor on his brain stem had directly affected his hearing loss. It kept growing on the nerve connecting his ear to the brain. After the 10-hour surgery, the doctors informed him that the tumor was benign. As much as this was great news, the artist suffered from facial palsy after the first night in the hospital. This is affecting his speech, vision, blinking, eating, and other facial functions. However, doctors are confident that once the swelling around the facial nerve dissipates, the facial nerve will recover fully, as it did not suffer any damage. The artist continued explaining that his hearing will not come back, but this will not stop him from doing what he loves: music. His full recovery is expected to take 12 weeks if there are no setbacks. During this time, the artist will not be able to fly or perform any gigs. Then, Daxson will return to the stage to share his music and melodies he can craft. He will do so even with his right hearing impairment.
