Fast forward to today, and the legendary track has been given a massive upgrade, courtesy of Slovak trance maestro ReOrder and his high-octane project, Crowd+Ctrl. While retaining the emotional uplifting elements of the original, the remix introduces a modern underground sound ready for the clubs and dancefloors. As A State of Trance is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, so it is a fitting moment to release this re-work. The A State of Trance festival is gearing up for huge shows in Asia starting in Hong Kong on June 12th and ASOT in Vietnam on June 13th. In October 2019, Armin van Buuren debuted the track during ASOT episode 936. It was specifically engineered as the official theme for the massive A State of Trance 950 celebrations scheduled for early 2020 in Utrecht, Netherlands. Co-produced alongside his long-time studio partner Benno de Goeij (the other half of their legendary Gaia alias), the original version was designed to serve as a bridge. It paid deep homage to the classic, emotionally uplifting sound that defined trance for two decades, while using a polished, high-energy 138 BPM template that could completely ignite a modern festival crowd The core challenge with updating an anthem as sacred as an ASOT milestone track is preserving the magic that made crowds fall in love with it in the first place.
