Amnesia Ibiza Celebrates 50 Years With Epic 24-Hour Opening

Amnesia Ibiza has officially launched its 50th anniversary season with a statement opening party that spanned three venues and over 24 hours of continuous music. The legendary club, which has been at the heart of Ibiza’s underground scene since 1976, marked the milestone with the bold declaration: “50 Years of Dancing: Ibiza Changed. We Didn’t.” The marathon celebration began with a warm-up at Cova-Santa before moving to Amnesia itself for a 12-hour set that saw Josh Baker and Joseph Capriati closing out the iconic terrace at midday. The festivities concluded with an open-invite after-party at Es Paradis — a deliberate rejection of Ibiza’s typical exclusive villa party culture in favor of the inclusive community spirit that has defined Amnesia for half a century. “The opening was a true manifestation of the spirit of Amnesia. The dancing, the energy — it felt like a party from 20 years ago. Those nights are the reason we do this; they’re the reason why we’re still here,” said Martin Ferrer, Amnesia’s CEO & Artistic Director. Weekly Residencies Balance Genres and Sounds The anniversary season features a carefully curated lineup of returning favorites and exciting debuts across the week. Mondays will see Kettama’s Steel City hosting throughout June and July, followed by Ben Hemsley’s NRG across August and September — expect a heavyweight mix of house, techno, trance, and everything in between. Joseph Capriati’s Metamorfosi makes its much-welcomed return on Tuesdays, featuring guests like Yanamaste and Ben Klock in the Main Room, with Capriati himself alongside top-tier guests taking over the Terrace cabin each week. Wednesday nights belong to Resistance, led this season by Adam Beyer, Artbat, Boris Brejcha, and Eric Prydz. The UK’s Josh Baker debuts his You&Me brand on Thursdays, while Fridays welcome Glitterbox‘s Amnesia debut alongside Rememberland. Saturday nights see the return of Bresh with its distinctive reggaeton and pop blend, and Sundays close out the week with Pyramid delivering house, techno, and minimal sounds featuring Jeff Mills, Fumiya Tanaka, and Richie Hawtin, plus historic B2B sets from Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano. Beyond the regular programming, the summer calendar includes special collaborations and one-off events that showcase Amnesia’s diverse musical heritage. Highlights include Jean-Michel Jarre making his Ibiza debut, a free rooftop rave hosted by Marlon Hoffstadt, and the return of the iconic foam party for one night only. Classic brands like Hacienda 51 — bringing a live orchestra to the terrace — Cocoon, Godskitchen, Teletech, and Universo Makina round out what promises to be one of the club’s most eclectic seasons ever.
