(Free entry) Laila Amira Immersed in the euphoric realms of disco, house, techno, and electro melodies, Laila Amira draws inspiration from the vibrant pulse of New York City's nightlife to sculpt a sonic haven where reality surrenders to rhythm. Her journey as a curator is fueled by the transformative power she witnesses on the dancefloor. Laila seeks to get listeners to embark on a journey of liberation- out of their heads and into their bodies. Since then, the two have been curating music, and delivering improvised sets that pay homage to clubs they fell in love with in Denmark, while folding in local and international influence from deep house, RnB, garage, world, and east coast hip hop. EAMMS's sound is equal parts ethereal as it is driving, delivering set narratives that build and release floor energy as the night progresses. In the past year alone, the duo has had the privilege of filling rooms around New York City including Eavesdrop, Million Goods, Elsewhere, Jupiter Disco, Outer Heaven, Honey’s, Earthly Delights, Silo, Laissez Faire, Barlume, Cafe Balearica, Rodeo, Rash, Dead Letter No.9 (cargo), and in clubs as far as Hong Kong, and Copenhagen (e.g., Jolene, Radio Panini, Baggen, Siggurds Klubben). Influenced by the aesthetic of 90’s rave culture, Raka has cultivated a style that bridges the nostalgic with the modern. He seamlessly fuses feel-good soulful house, UK funky, & other 90's dance sub-genres with modern high energy dance genres such as tech house, minimal deep house, & jersey club. Raka’s ability to intertwine familiar hip-hop & R&B samples while maintaining the bounce, groove, & ethos of the underground sets him apart. His mixing skill, track selection, and ability to connect a wide range of dance music styles creates an infectious energy on the dance floor that demands your attention & gets everybody involved.
