In this intimate three-hour session, Swaya (12th House Cancer Sun) releases control, drifting through deep currents of ambient, classical, and experimental sound, weaving together discoveries from the darkest corners of her sonic world. Brooklyn based artist, DJ and producer Swaya has spent a lifetime exploring the possibilities of storytelling and meaning making through sound. Her music & DJing conjures movement with sexy, full-bodied rhythms, weaving together Brazilian funk, dembow, batida, ambient music, rap and dubstep, all molded by her love of emotional melody and inventive sound design. She has released with labels like s.M.i.l.e, PTP, TT, Ultra Rare and Gravity Pleasure. Beyond her personal artistic work Swaya is also an established producer and audio engineer, currently working with Brooklyn producer Tony Seltzer at his studio Seltzer Sounds. She has worked with the likes of Eartheater, MIKE, Mavi , Surf Gang, Babyxsosa, Key!, Hawa, Zelooperz, Mercury, Bbyafricka, Joey Labeija, Gabe Nandez and more.
