Kimbark Fourth State RETURNS for a night featuring local artists in the techno and experimental genres. The lineup includes KFS resident Kieran, who is known for spacious, driving techno characterized by a biting low-end and tightly wound momentum. Lokua will perform a live set, marking a KFS first. He is a Chicago-based producer focused on minimal, acid-laden techno, utilizing a range of tools from MIDI controllers to Eurorack systems, and has over 25 years of songwriting experience. Closing the night is Shanti, who has made an impact in Chicago’s techno scene with her dark and ethereal soundscapes. She hosts “Liminal Radio” on WIIT 88.9 FM and co-hosts Otherworldly Ambiguity with Scum.ee.
