Calligraphy. Whacking. Art. House Music. Home-made Mochi. This Lunar New Year, we’re calling on our community to join us in support of a cause that's truly close-to-heart: ICE OUT. Marking the 2-year anniversary of casa’s launch w/ Body Language, on Saturday [21.02] we dance in solidarity with those impacted by ICE in Minnesota, and those who continue to fight the good fight in support immigrant communities across the country. We’ve lined up an extra special program for the night: an interactive Chinese calligraphy performance a whacking dance activation and your favorite selectors from Berlin’s house music family, à la HOUSE GUESTS. •••••••• casadephunk is an off-beat event series rooted in the concept of HOME: we're pouring care and thoughtfulness back into club culture, while curating community spaces where POC / FLINTA/ queer artists feel seen, connected, uplifted, and inspired. •••••••• This is a queer/ POC forward event series. Please be aware of the spacem as we want all our guests to feel at home - cute, cozy, and comfortable - while also feeling the full freedom to let loose and get down through all forms of authentic expression. As you'd expect, any form of disrespect, hate or discriminatory behavior is an absolute no-go.
