This night features two captivating live performances that delve into the nuances of sound texture and form. Hems, a London-based artist known for his innovative approach to experimental electronics, takes the stage with an immersive live set. His work blends extended drone and resonant metal with evolving electronic structures, creating a soundscape rich in sustained tones and spatial depth. As co-founder of Titrate, Hems is committed to pushing sonic boundaries, having recently performed at Funkhaus Berlin for the Spatial Festival by MONOM, where he showcased his music on an expansive 60-speaker system. Also on the bill is happyhappyface, a fixture in the London electronic scene. He brings a unique blend of minimal analog compositions, crafted through keyboard improvisation and modular synthesis. His dynamic performances oscillate between restraint and rupture, drawing upon influences from IDM, techno, and classical music.
