What is Alphabet - Event C?

In the bleak mid-winter, a time riddled with cold, Christmas and confinement, Alphabet returns stronger than ever to complete it's noble quest to caricature and conquer the Alphabetical hierarchy and create a crazed chronology of events starting with A and finishing with Z. You may have realized by our chronically common use of the letter 'C' in the last few sentences that it is time for the long-anticipated 'Event C'. This irrational chase of our common lexicon will be taking us to a coveted venue you may not have heard of before, Engine Rooms, in Bow (real East London, as portrayed in Eastenders, not like the Cartesian simulacrum that is Hackney). This classy congregation known officially as 'Event C', will take place on Saturday the 17th of January 2026, between the hours of 8pm and 3am. Tickets can be bought in advance (Resident Advisor) or OTD. Lineup: As always, it will feature an eclectic and talented collection of musical practitioners from goated guitarists, to depressed DJs, to sexy singers. Having recently released the split album Birth of EMLIFTING with the band I’m Sorry Emil, Shoplifting delivers music that’s as explosive as it is expressive, challenging the status quo of London’s emo and punk scene. A recent staff pick on Nina Protocol, Cleaver Blue’s music has been praised as “style-hopping indie pop with a gift for unobtrusive earworms.” 'Event C' will also host magician and minimal man, Forelle, Lion and Lamb legend, for a squelchy, bleepy, bloopy live set. Joining them are WAAW, the London-based DJ twins and residents of Warmth and FoundationFM, whose mixture of breaks, baile funk, rap, and global bass has landed them on platforms like Balamii and Keep Hush and will soon take them to the stage at Alphabet. Alongside them, Klang Radio delivers a curated selection of dark funk, German disco, and electronica for those seeking a return to the lost electronic landscapes of the 1980s. Beyond this, two dank and primordial forces, Cold Hippie and Squish, meet in a humble yet cataclysmic union for their UK debut as 'SOGGY', a musical duo founded in Hong Kong but publicly debuted in Cero, Kuala Lumpur. And, of course, we have our in-house heads, Form Affinity, a 4-piece alt-rock Emo punk/spacerock project based in London that performs heavy, crashing adaptations of their released music.
