Kapote

Kapote, also known as Mathias Modica, is a DJ, music researcher, and producer based in Berlin. He is the co-founder of Toy Tonics, an indie disco, funk house, and organic dance music label that has released works from artists such as Coeo and Cody Currie. Prior to Toy Tonics, Modica produced music under the name MUNK and ran Gomma Records from 2000 to 2015, collaborating with artists like James Murphy and Peaches. Active across 8 cities including Berlin, Amsterdam, London and Miami, with 8 recorded performances. Notable venues include Studio1111, OXI and Good Room. Has shared lineups with Sam Ruffillo and Yuksek.

Kapote stands as a prominent figure in the House scene, known for blending House, Disco. As both a DJ and producer, Kapote continues to push the boundaries of House while maintaining the authentic energy of the genre.
